Ethelo Decisions

The Ethelo Platform supports the configuration of a diverse range of engagement projects. Everything included from policy consultations, community planning, participatory budgeting to conflict resolution, grant evaluation, project ideation and many more.

From a configuration perspective, we can divide all projects under three categories:

  • Survey Projects
  • Voting Projects
  • A mix of both Survey and Voting Projects

Most engagement projects will have a mix of both Survey and Voting configurations. But at the heart of what Ethelo does are Voting Projects that handle complex multi-factored decision-making problems where there is a need to prioritize a field of many possible decisions and narrow it down to a single decision scenario.

Since Ethelo emphasizes decision-making as opposed to simple survey consultations - it is appropriate that throughout the tutorial we use the term Decision(s) to mean all possible Ethelo Projects.

Decision Templates

While it is possible to design an Ethelo Decision from the ground up, you can take advantage of our history of successful engagements by using our Self Service Templates.  Organized by use case, you can start from a pre-configured decision template and make simple changes to fit your needs.

Visit our product table to view a list of Decision Templates and click on a few of them and begin to familiarize your self with how an Ethelo Decision looks like and how it works.

Example Decision

In the next article, we will begin to learn some key concepts that you will need as an Admin to configure Decisions. It is helpful to have access to a Decision that has already been configured as an additional learning tool supporting the material in the articles.

Use the following Example Decision as a reference to compare with learning material: Example Decision
