Option Attributes : What are they?

Follow

Attributes are descriptions, often numeric, of an option or options. In some documents, attributes are sometimes referred to as characteristics.

They come in two parts;

  1. a label, and
  2. a value for the label

Different options can share the same attribute label, but have different values for that attribute.

For example, the cost attribute of a budget option may be the amount of money that could be spent on that option.

An option can have many different kinds of attributes. They can have different formats; text, numeric, money etc.

A scenario can also have attributes, based on the attributes of the options that comprise the scenario.
