This page offers you the ability to access and download all comments made by participants regarding your decision. It particularly comes in handy when you opt to oversee the comments posted about your decision. You can isolate all comments, showcasing only those that you have endorsed for viewing by other participants.
To achieve this, you can configure the setting "Comments must be approved before they are visible," which is located on the Commenting > Settings page. This feature provides you with greater control over the comments displayed and fosters a more managed commenting environment.
Granting Moderator Roles
There are two ways you can give a Moderator role to a user. Both methods are done on the Participation > Participants page:
- Invite a user and give them the ‘Moderator’ role or
- Add the ‘Moderator’ role to an existing participant.
- Click the ‘Edit’ button beside a participant’s name. Then click the ‘Moderator' checkbox to add the ‘Moderator’ role to a participant. See the screenshot below for further clarification:
***Users with the role of Decision Admin and Moderators can moderate the comments on this page. The only difference between the two roles is that the Moderator role has limited access to the admin panel.
Moderating Comments
There are two ways you can ‘approve’ the comments. The first approach is by single comment approval. It is done by clicking the ‘Approve’ button beside each comment.
The second approach is to approve multiple comments. It is done by clicking the checkbox on each comment's left side. Then click the ‘Approve Comments’ button located on top.
Flagging Comments
During the Ethelo process, your participants can help bring comments to the attention of your Moderators. This is done by clicking the little gear icon beside a comment to anonymously flag it as needing moderator attention:
As a Moderator or Decision Admin, you can check if there are comments with a high flag count by clicking the sort arrow beside the Flag Count column.
Downloading Comments
On the same page (Commenting > Moderation), you can download the entire comments section in CSV format by clicking the ‘Download’ button found at the top.
